It’s spring in the Colorado Rockies, which means we’re experiencing three seasons all at once – winter, spring and hints of summer Keystone Ski Resort closed for the ski season on April 7, 2024, but that doesn’t mean ski season is over. Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge are still going strong and planning to be open for skiing and snowboarding into May.
Here, at Keystone, the teams have shifted their focus to summer and prepping for the mountain bike season and the opening of the golf courses.
First up is golf season. Keystone’s River Course is set to open for golfing on May 10, followed by the May 17 opening of The Ranch Course. The Keystone summer mountain operations season will start on June 20 with hiking, biking and gondola rides. In River Run Village, the Keystone Neighbourhood Company is gearing up for the upcoming summer festivals. Mark your calendars and plan to stop by our Kindred Spirit courtyard with lawn games and activations:

Also, make sure to check out the construction progress of Kindred this summer. It’s remarkable. In early April, the PCL Construction team completed the work on the exterior structure (the “core and shell”) of the West Tower and is now working to finalize the exterior structure of the Hotel Tower and finish the roof. Over on the East Tower, the crews have poured the concrete for the 5th and final floor and are framing in the penthouse ski-in, ski-out residences.
The interior work is ramping up for the 62 West Tower residences with the framing for the kitchen islands and fireplaces happening, along with electrical, mechanical and plumbing work continuing. The team is planning to remove the plastic wrap on the West Tower soon to unveil the gorgeous exterior stonework and the oversized windows.
