Steve Lorenz is the Managing Partner of The Greenwich Group International’s Capital Markets and Investment Banking New York team. He joined Greenwich in early 2016. Steve has over 32 years of commercial real estate experience.
Prior to joining The Greenwich Group, Steve was the President and Founder of LorCap, Inc, a commercial real estate advisory firm that raises equity and places debt on behalf of owner-operators of commercial real estate, while also acting as a principle in several transactions. Steve was the Head of the CRE Capital Markets desks for PNC / National City Bank Investments located in Stamford, CT for several years where he ran CMBS production; and, helped lead the efforts in the bank’s CRE Distressed Assets group. Prior to this he was at Fortis Investments where he was charged with buying CRE structured products for inclusion into CDO’s.
Mr. Lorenz was at Hypobank (a.k.a. HVB Real Estate International) for 8 years where he was a relationship manager for 6 years and credit manager for 2 years. He worked for Citibank from 1991 to 1995 where he focused on CRE workouts, restructurings, asset management and asset sales. Additionally, Mr. Lorenz worked for the Trammel Crow Company in the late 1980s. Mr. Lorenz has an MBA from Columbia Business School (Class ’91) and graduated from Hamilton College in 1986. He has his Series 7 & 63.
Simon Mildé is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Greenwich Group International. Mr. Mildé has over 40 years’ experience in global real estate finance, investment, development, and management. Prior to founding Greenwich Group International, Mr. Mildé founded Jones Lang Wootton North America (now Jones Lang LaSalle), one of the largest global real estate investment management and advisory firms and served as its Chairman for approximately 20 years.
He also co-founded JLW Realty Advisors, which today, operating as Clarion Partners, ranks as one of the largest real estate investment firms in the world. He is also Chairman and CEO of Capital District Properties and Richbell Capital, companies that develop, manage and own multifamily and hotel properties in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States.
James Flood joined The Greenwich Group International’s New York office in 1998 as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Flood has over 30 years of management experience in real estate development, finance, and property management.
Prior to joining The Greenwich Group International, Mr. Flood served for 14 years as Executive Vice President & CFO for The Related Companies, one of the nation’s leading acquisition/development, financial services and property management companies.
Earlier, as Vice President of Finance and Administration for American Landmark Development, a joint-venture partner of Olympia and York in residential development in Canada and the United States, Mr. Flood directed all financial functions, property management and apartment conversions.
Buzz Shattan is a Senior Investment Director of the Greenwich Group International, where he advises developers and owners on all phases of executing sales and financing transactions. Mr. Shattan began his career as an attorney, practicing at three international law firms (Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, Davis Polk & Wardwell, and Coudert Brothers) where he advised investors, entrepreneurs, and many offshore buyers of U.S. real estate.
Mr. Shattan was involved in the fundraise and execution of a $300 million distressed luxury-condominium venture in 2010. wherein, Mr. Shattan helped a major, university endowment achieve substantial returns on their investment in the venture.
Mr. Shattan was part of the original team that created The Greenwich Group in 1995, where he has arranged several billion dollars of sales and financings. Mr. Shattan holds a B.A. from Harvard University and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
