Robert Martin

Robert Martin’s artwork navigates intersections of nature and culture. They earned their BFA from the University of Wisconsin Stout and MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder, and have exhibited at The Valley in Taos, 1969 Gallery in New York, and the Center for Visual Arts in Wisconsin, and Albion College in Michigan. Martin’s work is held in collections across the country and has been highlighted in two issues of New American Paintings.

Focusing on iconic species of the Rocky Mountain region, these compositions are reminiscent of the views seen through camera lenses or magnifying glasses, evoking feelings of curiosity, discovery, and wonder as integral to the works as the subjects themselves.
